Role Description The Fundraising Specialist – NGO's (Agriculture) is a full-time, on-site role based at SEKEM Group's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. This role focuses on securing funding and partnerships to support SEKEM's agricultural, educational, and community development projects, particularly those connected to biodynamic and organic farming. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and researching potential donors and grant opportunities, developing fundraising strategies, and preparing compelling proposals, concept notes, and reports for local and international funders. The Fundraising Specialist will manage donor relationships, coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, and collaborate closely with program, finance, and communications teams to align funding priorities with project needs. The role also involves monitoring project outcomes for funding compliance and impact reporting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of SEKEM's fundraising processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in fundraising strategy, donor research, and grant writing, ideally within NGOs or development organizations.
  • Experience in project proposal development, budgeting support, and impact reporting for agricultural, environmental, or community development programs.
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships with foundations, government agencies, corporate donors, and international organizations.
  • Knowledge of sustainable agriculture, organic or biodynamic farming, or rural development is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Economics, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field; a relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Comfort working on-site in a multicultural environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, and basic MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software.
