Role Description

We are seeking a Furniture & Interior Production Designer with strong experience in furniture manufacturing and factory-based production environments. This role focuses on developing custom furniture and interior elements while translating design concepts into accurate, production-ready technical drawings for manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of furniture construction, joinery detailing, materials, and fabrication processes, and will work closely with factory and production teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and suitable for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for custom furniture and interior components
• Prepare manufacturing documentation for factory production
• Translate design concepts into production-ready furniture and interior elements
• Work closely with factory teams to ensure accurate fabrication and production feasibility
• Specify materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques for furniture and interior applications
• Assist in the development of bespoke furniture pieces, leather applications, wall panels, and interior features
• Review construction details, joinery, and assembly methods to ensure manufacturing efficiency
• Coordinate internally with design, production, and project teams during development stages
• Maintain accurate documentation for production and manufacturing processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field
• 35 years of experience in furniture design, interior production, or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction, joinery, fabrication techniques, and materials
• Experience producing shop drawings and manufacturing drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar technical design software
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving ability

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in factory-based furniture production environments
• Experience developing custom furniture or interior fabrication projects
• Familiarity with leather applications, wall panels, or architectural interior detailing
• Experience coordinating between design teams and production teams
