Role Description The Game Designer will work online, in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with artists, programmers, and producers to shape the overall player experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing levels, defining gameplay mechanics, and creating detailed design documentation that can be implemented by the development team. The role involves iterating on core systems, balancing difficulty and progression, and playtesting prototypes to gather feedback and refine the design. The Game Designer will also help adapt game concepts to different platforms, support feature implementation during development, and contribute ideas that align with project goals and production timelines.
Qualifications
- Ability to design engaging gameplay systems and experiences, with strong skills in Game Design and Level Design.
- Hands-on experience in Game Development workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams and understanding production pipelines.
- Knowledge of platform-specific considerations for Console and Mobile Games, including controls, performance, and player expectations.
- Proficiency in creating clear design documentation, including flowcharts, wireframes, and gameplay specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to iterate based on player feedback and data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment on-site.
- Familiarity with common game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and basic scripting or visual scripting is highly beneficial.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field is preferred.
