A well established and fast growing IT company is seeking a Game Developer to join its dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. This is a full time, on site role for someone passionate about building engaging, high performance games and working on end to end game development.
Role Summary
As a Game Developer, you will be responsible for game programming, gameplay mechanics, and game design, with a strong focus on object-oriented programming (OOP). You will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and product teams to deliver high-quality gaming experiences across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize gameplay systems using Unity Engine or Cocos Creator
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and prototype new game features
- Write clean, efficient, and well documented code in C#, Lua, or JavaScript (based on platform)
- Debug and resolve performance issues across multiple devices and platforms
- Integrate third-party SDKs and APIs (ads, analytics, payment systems, etc.)
- Optimize game assets and code for performance and memory efficiency
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, contributing innovative ideas to improve development processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in game development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Unity (C#) or Cocos Creator (JavaScript/Lua)
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts and game physics
- Experience with 2D/3D rendering, animations, and UI implementation
- Familiarity with cross-platform development (iOS / Android / PC)
- Knowledge of shader programming (HLSL / GLSL)
- Understanding of game monetization strategies, including in-app purchases and ads
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Prior experience publishing games on Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities
