Garment Quality Control Specialist

Job Description

The Garment Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for: 

• Overseeing and improving the quality control processes throughout the production cycle.
• Evaluating materials, inspecting finished products, and ensuring that all items meet the company's quality standards and industry regulations.
• Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports.
• Make recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards.
• Quality Control Procedures: Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures and standards for all stages of production.
• Issue Resolution: Identify defects or quality issues, analyze root causes, and collaborate with production teams to develop corrective actions.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports. Prepare and present reports on quality performance to management.
• Factories Management: Evaluate and monitor factories performance and work with factories to address any quality issues throughout the production phases.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve quality processes, enhance product durability, and reduce defects. Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, Quality Assurance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the apparel and fashion industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with textile properties, garment construction, and quality standards. Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Quality Assurance certification is a plus.
