Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented General Accountant to support the Finance Manager in managing daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities in the UAE.
The candidate should be capable of handling general review, expense verification, month-end support, and supervising junior finance staff. The role also requires strong coordination skills, logical thinking, and the ability to identify unusual expense trends or accounting issues.
This position is suitable for someone with solid practical accounting experience and a stable working attitude.
Key Responsibilities
General & Accounting Review
- Review daily accounting entries and general postings
- Verify accounting accuracy and supporting documents
- Review balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded and classified
- Support monthly and year-end closing processes
Expense & Payment Review
- Review employee reimbursements and supporting documents
- Verify expense reasonableness and compliance with company policies
- Identify abnormal or unusual expense patterns
- Provide basic cost control and process improvement suggestions
- Coordinate with departments regarding missing or incomplete documents
Team Coordination
- Review bookkeeping work completed by junior/external finance staff
- Follow up on pending accounting matters
- Ensure accounting timelines are properly met
- Assist in maintaining accounting discipline and filing standards
Reporting & Finance Support
- Assist Finance Manager with finance-related tasks and reporting
- Prepare accounting schedules and supporting files
- Support audit, VAT, and compliance documentation
- Assist in improving finance processes and workflows
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, and internal departments when required
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA、Accounting Certificate partially qualified or qualified is preferred
- Master's degree preferred
Experience
- 3–6 years of accounting experience
- UAE accounting experience preferred
- Experience handling full-set accounting or GL functions preferred
- Experience in trading, technology, or multi-entity companies is an advantage

- Good understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Familiar with month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Able to identify accounting or expense abnormalities
- Good Excel skills
