Job Description

Role Description

The General Accountant is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records to support effective financial decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies while contributing to smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.

Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements regularly to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with accounting principles
Conduct month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Maintain organized and updated financial records, ledgers, and reports
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies
Assist with audits by preparing required documents and supporting external auditors
Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency

Requirements

Role Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in general accounting or a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
1-3 Years of experience
