Role Description
The General Accountant is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records to support effective financial decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies while contributing to smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements regularly to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with accounting principles
- Conduct month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain organized and updated financial records, ledgers, and reports
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies
- Assist with audits by preparing required documents and supporting external auditors
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in general accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- 1-3 Years of experience
