Role Description The General Accounting Manager – Retail is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm 1st 6 October. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for retail activities, including supervising general ledger postings, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring accurate preparation of financial statements. The General Accounting Manager monitors fixed assets, reviews journal entries, reconciles accounts, and ensures compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards. The role includes coordinating with finance, operations, and retail management teams to provide timely financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and improve internal controls. The individual will also lead and mentor accounting staff, streamline processes, and support audits and regulatory reporting as needed.

Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including Financial Statements and Journal Entries (Accounting).
- Experience managing Fixed Assets and applying Finance principles in a retail or similar environment.
- Proficiency in Accounting systems and ERP software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role, preferably within retail or consumer-focused businesses.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Qesm 1st 6 October, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and familiarity with local tax regulations and auditing practices is beneficial.
