We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our leadership team and serve as a strategic legal partner to the business based in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide expert legal guidance across corporate governance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, risk management, and business operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.
- 12+ years of legal experience, including significant corporate/in-house counsel experience.
- Strong expertise in commercial contracts, corporate law, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Experience working in a multinational or high-growth organization.
- Proven ability to advise senior executives and influence business decisions.
- Experience managing complex negotiations, transactions, and legal risks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance legal considerations with commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted legal advisor to executive leadership and business stakeholders.
- Develop and execute legal strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee corporate governance, compliance programs, and regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements.
- Provide legal support for strategic transactions, partnerships, investments, and expansion initiatives.
- Manage litigation, disputes, investigations, and relationships with external counsel.
- Establish effective legal processes, policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead and develop the legal function while ensuring high standards of integrity and professionalism.
