Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Insurance Underwriter to manage underwriting activities across various general insurance products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing risks, preparing quotations, negotiating policy terms, managing renewals, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate risks for various general insurance products.
• Prepare and review insurance quotations, terms, and comparisons.
• Handle policies related to Motor, Property, Marine, Engineering, Liability, Group Personal Accident, and other general insurance products.
• Negotiate premium rates, policy terms, coverage, and conditions with insurance companies.
• Process new policies, renewals, endorsements, additions, and cancellations.
• Review client requirements and recommend suitable insurance coverage.
• Coordinate with insurers, clients, brokers, and other stakeholders for quotations and policy issuance.
• Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and insurer requirements.
• Monitor policy renewals and ensure timely follow-up with clients.
• Maintain accurate records of policies, quotations, and underwriting documentation.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with insurance companies and clients.
• Attend client meetings and provide support during insurance discussions.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Dubai in insurance underwriting.
• Experience in General Insurance Underwriting is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Strong understanding of general insurance products and underwriting procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and client-handling skills.
• Proficiency in English is a must; Hindi is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess risks effectively.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple policies, and meet deadlines.
