Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain and update the General Ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, suppliers, accruals, prepayments, assets).
  • Review and post monthly accruals and amortizations (prepaid expenses, advances, etc.).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes and meet required deadlines.
  • Review supporting documents for all GL entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate with AP, AR, Payroll, and Treasury to validate and reconcile financial data.
  • Maintain fixed assets register and ensure proper depreciation booking.
  • Assist the finance team during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience FMCG/Retail.

  • Trial Balance handling with all breakdowns and analysis
  • Fixed assets.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS).
  • Experience with monthly closing and financial reconciliations.
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a strong plus.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
