General Manager – Contracting

Antal International is partnering with a well-established business group headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with a legacy spanning more than four decades across construction, energy & industrial, automotive, real estate, retail and investment sectors. Its contracting business has been active in the UAE construction, delivering residential, hospitality, commercial, industrial and infrastructure-related projects for government and private-sector clients.

Salary - AED 80,000 to AED 95,000 + Benefits + Bonus

Location - Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Contracting to provide strategic and operational leadership for the contracting business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall business strategy, operations and long-term growth of the contracting business.
Drive profitability, P&L performance, budgeting and financial management.
Lead senior functional teams and ensure effective execution of business plans.
Oversee complex and large-scale construction projects, ensuring delivery within time and budget.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, PMCs, subcontractors and government authorities.
Identify business opportunities, strategic partnerships and avenues for sustainable growth.
Establish performance targets and drive operational excellence across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Master's degree is an advantage.
15+ years of experience in construction/contracting, including significant senior leadership experience.
Proven experience managing large-scale and complex projects.
Strong commercial, financial and strategic management capabilities.
Experience managing senior functional teams and multiple business functions.
Strong UAE/GCC construction market experience is highly desirable.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
PMP certification is an advantage.
Arabic language skills are an advantage.
