Our client is a leading distributor managing a portfolio of established multinational FMCG brands. They are seeking to appoint a General Manager to lead the business with full P&L accountability and provide strategic direction across all core functions and drive GTM and RTM strategy. The role is based in Dubai with responsibility for Middle East markets.
This is a senior executive leadership mandate for a commercially astute and operationally strong leader who can act as the bridge between the Board and the management team. The successful candidate will be entrusted with driving sustainable growth, strengthening governance, enhancing financial discipline, and optimizing organizational performance across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full ownership of regional P&L performance and overall business results
- Define and execute the Middle East strategy aligned with Board objectives
- Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization initiatives
- Provide leadership oversight across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Operations
- Strengthen route-to-market and go-to-market effectiveness across markets
- Lead principal negotiations and strategic partnerships
- Enhance financial planning and reporting
- Improve operational efficiency, service levels, and supply chain reliability
- Establish robust governance, reporting structures, and performance management frameworks
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing cross-functional leadership team
Candidate Requirements:
- 1215+ years of progressive experience within FMCG or consumer goods distribution with strong preference for scaling non food brands
- Proven General Management experience with full P&L responsibility at scale
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-market operations across the GCC / Middle East
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of 100+ employees
- Strong financial acumen
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability
