General Manager required for Five Star Hotel Radisson Beach Resort, Palm Jumeirah Dubai.
Position Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and service related functions of a 5-star luxury hotel in Dubai. The role requires a strategic leader with strong commercial acumen, exceptional guest service standards, and proven experience managing large hospitality teams. The GM will ensure the hotel's profitability, brand reputation, and operational excellence at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership
Oversee daily hotel operations across all departments: Rooms, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, Engineering, Spa, and Security.
Maintain 5-star service standards and ensure compliance with brand guidelines.
Monitor guest satisfaction levels and implement improvements based on feedback.
Ensure smooth coordination between all departments for seamless guest experience.
2. Financial Management
Prepare and manage annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.
Drive revenue growth through strategic sales, marketing, and pricing initiatives.
Monitor P&L performance and implement cost control measures without compromising service quality.
Maximize occupancy, ADR (Average daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue per available room).
3. Sales, Marketing & Business Development
Develop and execute commercial strategies to increase market share.
Represent the hotel in key industry events, corporate meetings, and partnerships.
Work closely with the sales and marketing team to promote hotel services and packages.
4. Guest Relations & Quality Control
Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction levels.
Personally handle VIP guests and ensure high-level guest engagement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards (Dubai Tourism, HACCP, ISO).
5. Human Resources & Leadership
Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and hotel staff.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of key positions.
Create a positive workplace culture with focus on staff engagement and retention.
Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws and company policies.
6. Strategic Planning
Set long-term operational goals and align them with the company's vision.
Identify opportunities for service enhancements, upgrades, and new revenue streams.
Implement innovation and technology to improve efficiency and guest experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 15+ years of hospitality experience, with at least 710 years in senior management roles in 5-star hotels.
Proven experience managing large luxury hotels or resorts in the GCC (UAE experience preferred).
Strong financial, operational, and commercial acumen.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of hotel operations and international hospitality standards.
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Exceptional guest service orientation.
Ability to handle high-pressure environments and complex operations.
Strong network with corporate clients, travel agencies, and luxury hospitality partners.
Proficiency in hotel PMS systems (Opera, Fidelio, etc.).
