We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Instrumentation, Automation & Control Systems business unit. This role carries full end-to-end responsibility for business performance, including P&L ownership, commercial strategy, engineering capability, project delivery, and customer satisfaction.
The General Manager will drive business growth, operational excellence, and strengthen the organization as a leading provider of integrated instrumentation, automation, and control system solutions across industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full P&L, driving revenue growth and profitability
- Develop business plans, budgets, and financial targets
- Monitor KPIs and provide performance and risk updates to leadership
- Lead tendering, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Drive market growth in instrumentation, automation, and control systems
- Build relationships with utilities, industrial clients, EPCs, and consultants
- Oversee project delivery from award to handover
- Ensure schedule, cost, quality, and safety targets are met
- Strengthen PMO governance and improve operational efficiency
- Lead engineering across instrumentation, PLC/DCS, SCADA, and systems integration
- Define engineering standards and strengthen turnkey delivery capability
- Act as senior escalation point for key customers
- Drive customer satisfaction and manage strategic relationships
- Optimize organization structure and build high-performing teams
- Lead, develop, and mentor managers across functions
Qualification:
- 10+ years of experience in instrumentation, automation, and control systems
- Proven leadership experience managing a full business unit or division
- Strong P&L ownership within a project-based or engineering organization
- Solid commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills
- Deep technical knowledge of instrumentation, PLC/DCS, SCADA, and systems integration
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Demonstrated track record in business growth and operational transformation
