The Role

As a General Technician, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring efficient and safe running of all hotel plant, equipment, air-conditioning and other systems and to quickly respond to guest complaints, and emergency situations.

As a member of the Engineering department, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety and promptly resolve any guest concerns to guarantee their satisfaction.
• Adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule outlined in hotel plans.
• Conduct daily electrical meter readings in key areas as instructed by Shift Engineers.
• Handle all hotel-provided tools with professionalism, ensuring proper maintenance and storage after each shift.
• Thoroughly clean work areas upon task completion.
• Adhere to safety protocols when carrying out tasks.
• Maintain open and effective communication with the Shift Engineer consistently.
• Engage in the Hotel's energy conservation initiatives.
• Use and suggest eco-friendly products in the workplace.
• Propose cost-saving suggestions, including those beyond the Engineering Department.
• Perform any additional duties necessary for operational smoothness.
