Generative AI Engineer – Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a Generative AI Engineer. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using modern Generative AI frameworks and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to build scalable AI solutions that address real-world business challenges. The position involves developing generative models, implementing machine learning algorithms, and integrating AI capabilities into production-grade systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI model deployment. You will also analyze data, optimize models for performance and reliability, and stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI and machine learning to ensure innovative and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Develop AI agents and automation workflows
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize generative AI models
• Implement effective prompt engineering strategies for production systems
• Integrate AI models with APIs and backend services
• Work with vector databases to enable semantic search and embeddings
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain AI models in production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI technologies

Required SkillsProgramming

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with REST APIs and backend integrations
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows

Generative AI & Machine Learning

• Experience working with LLM APIs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of prompt engineering and prompt optimization
• Experience building RAG pipelines
• Understanding of embeddings and semantic search
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation, safety, and guardrails

Frameworks & Tools

• Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, etc.)
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
• Basic understanding of MLOps and model lifecycle management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience building AI chatbots, copilots, or AI assistants
• Experience working with AI agents and tool-use frameworks
• Experience handling large datasets and embeddings
• Understanding of model fine-tuning, evaluation, and performance optimization
