Job Summary

Join our customer's team as a Geological Technician Expert AI Trainer and leverage your geosciences expertise to shape the next generation of AI systems. This role combines field and laboratory knowledge with data annotation and technical guidance, ensuring AI models reflect real-world geological practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop AI solutions for geological data analysis and interpretation.
  • Use and instruct on laboratory instrumentation, including electronic, sonic, and nuclear devices, across exploration, production, and research environments.
  • Review, annotate, and provide expert feedback on geological datasets, sample analyses, and operational records to improve AI model accuracy.
  • Prepare sketches, geological maps, and cross-sections to support machine learning workflows.
  • Analyze mud, drill cuttings, and other borehole data (pressure, temperature, and related metrics) for AI training purposes.
  • Compile, log, and organize field and lab data for further analysis and AI dataset preparation.
  • Participate in virtual surveys, exploratory project meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions with both technical and non-technical teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Geological Technician or related roles (e.g., Core Inspector, Geotechnician, Geological E-Logger).
  • Advanced knowledge of laboratory and field instrumentation, measurement techniques, and geological testing protocols.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on clarity for remote collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail in compiling, logging, and interpreting geological data.
  • Proficiency in preparing sketches, geological maps, and cross-sectional diagrams.
  • Experience assisting in geological, geophysical, geochemical, or oceanographic surveys and exploratory drilling programs.
  • Passion for advancing AI through precise data labeling, annotation, and subject-matter expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience training AI or machine learning models in scientific or technical domains.
  • Background in environmental sampling, materials testing, or geoscience research.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for remote collaboration, dataset management, and AI workflow integration.
