We seek an enthusiastic and motivated Geoscientist to join our dynamic team. You will provide geoscience support to SNOC's field development projects in this role.
You will contribute to structural and petrophysical modelling tasks and assist in building static models for SNOC's assets. This role will involve updating formation tops, mapping, and supporting the creation of geological models. You will collaborate with experienced team members and gain exposure to working with seismic, petrophysical, and drilling data.
Additionally, you will work with onsite-based teams to provide geoscientific support during drilling operations. This will include assisting in real-time data interpretation and analysis during drilling and post-drill evaluation of the collected data. You will also be able to learn about operations geoscience during these campaigns and be exposed to lab-based analysis programs of acquired cores and plugs.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with exposure to office-based and field-based geoscience work.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in quality checking and validating data (e.g., seismic, petrophysics, formation tops, core data)
- Support the development and updating of integrated 3D geological models
- Help perform volumetric computations and contribute to subsurface uncertainty analysis based on the 3D static model and properties.
- Participate in reservoir characterization studies, including wireline log acquisition and core analysis.
