JASARA PMC is seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing geotechnical engineering projects, providing expert insights and innovative solutions to complex geotechnical challenges. This position requires a strong foundation in geotechnical principles, as well as practical experience in design and site evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, including sampling, testing, and analysis of soil materials
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, presenting findings, designs, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Develop geotechnical design plans for a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Collate and assess data from field investigations, laboratory testing, and numerical modeling
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical aspects into overall engineering designs
- Monitor construction activities to ensure that geotechnical design specifications are met
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders to communicate project needs and findings effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering
- Solid understanding of geotechnical investigation methods and soil behavior
- Proficiency with geotechnical design software (e.g., PLAXIS, Geostudio) and AutoCAD
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
