Job Overview:
The Global Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving international revenue growth, expanding geographic presence, and positioning the firm as a global professional services brand. This role requires deep exposure to Big 4 consulting environments, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to build scalable BD frameworks across regions.
The individual will act as a strategic growth partner to leadership and will play a key role in shaping long-term global expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Growth & Strategy
- Design and implement a multi-country business development roadmap aligned with the firm's long-term vision.
- Identify high-potential markets for expansion and lead country-level market entry strategies.
- Develop global sector-focused BD plans (Real Estate, FMCG, Technology, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Financial Services, etc.).
- Support leadership in mergers, alliances, and representative office setups internationally.
- Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth
- Originate and close high-value global engagements across accounting, tax advisory, audit support, transfer pricing, VAT, ESR, AML, and compliance services.
- Engage with C-suite executives, CFOs, Tax Heads, and Board Members of multinational organizations.
- Lead proposal strategy, pricing models, and commercial negotiations for international clients.
- Convert cross-border leads into long-term retainer and advisory relationships.
3.Partnerships & Alliances
- Build and manage global referral networks with law firms, banks, family offices, corporate service providers, and investment advisors.
- Establish strategic partnerships with Big 4 alumni networks, boutique firms, and international consultancies.
- Manage collaboration frameworks with overseas partners ensuring quality, governance, and brand alignment
4.Leadership & Internal Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between business development and technical teams, ensuring service delivery aligns with client expectations.
- Mentor junior BD professionals and support the development of a global BD team structure.
- Provide leadership input on service innovation, pricing strategies, and new advisory offerings.
- Work closely with marketing teams on global branding, campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives.
5. Market Intelligence & Advisory Development
- Track global regulatory developments, tax reforms, and compliance trends to identify new service opportunities.
- Provide insights to Partners on emerging global risks and advisory demands.
- Support the development of industry-specific solutions and packaged offerings.
6. Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all BD activities align with professional ethics, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Follow internal approval processes for proposals, engagements, and cross-border referrals.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity consistent with Big 4 professional standards
7. Reporting & Performance Management
- Build and manage a global sales pipeline and CRM system.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports covering: Revenue forecasts, pipeline health, market expansion progress, partnership performance.
- Present strategic growth updates to senior management and the board.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar discipline
- MBA or professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage
- Experience:
- 510+ years of experience in business development or client-facing roles within Big 4 or leading global consulting firms
- Demonstrated experience in international markets and cross-border consulting engagements
- Strong understanding of global accounting, tax, and regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to operate at Partner / Board level discussions
