KOTUG is embarking on an exciting journey to transform our existing crewing operations into a standalone global crew management, providing comprehensive crewing solutions for all KOTUG fleets worldwide.
We are looking for a visionary leader who can blend strategic foresight, operational excellence, and business acumen to create a scalable, compliant, and future-ready crewing organization. The successful candidate will establish the global framework, systems, and partnerships needed to deliver world-class crew management, with a strong emphasis on retention, digitalization, cost efficiency, and crew wellbeing.
Experience: - Minimum of 10 years in crewing related field, with at least 5 years leadership experience in Managerial role, within the Maritime Industry.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development
- Develop and execute a 35 year global crewing strategy, aligned with KOTUG's corporate vision and business objectives.
- Establish the Crewing Department as a standalone business unit, with independent systems, processes, and profit accountability.
- Lead the design and implementation of a global crew management framework, covering planning, recruitment, welfare, and compliance for all KOTUG fleets.
- Identify emerging trends in the maritime labor market and integrate global best practices to strengthen competitiveness.
- Champion digital transformation, automation, and data analytics to improve transparency, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Operational & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure global compliance with MLC, ISM Code, Flag State regulations, and all relevant international maritime standards.
- Oversee recruitment, rotation planning, crew logistics, and repatriation in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Develop and maintain crewing policies and procedures in line with evolving regulations and company standards.
- Ensure all crew members meet the required certification and competency levels before deployment.
Budget & Financial Management
- Develop, manage, and monitor the annual global crewing budget.
- Optimize crew-related expenditures through strategic vendor negotiations, cost-efficient rotations, and improved retention.
- Oversee payroll, benefits, and travel in line with approved budgets and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Growth
- Serve as the primary interface between Crewing, Operations, HR, HSEQ, and Finance teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with manning agents, training centers, and maritime academies.
- Represent KOTUG in industry associations and regulatory forums, promoting the company's leadership in maritime talent management.
- Develop business opportunities for the new Crewing Company to manage third-party fleets where strategically beneficial.
Training, Development & Wellbeing
- Implement global training and career development plans for seafarers in coordination with HR.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, diversity, inclusion, and crew wellbeing.
- Monitor and act on crew satisfaction, retention, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
