Global Head of Procurement -Magnequench Business Unit

Position Summary:
The Global Head of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing a global procurement strategy that supports Magnequench's growth objectives, working capital optimization, and business resiliency goals.
This role will lead procurement of critical minerals, tools, bespoke equipment and consumables. The incumbent will work closely with plants, sales and marketing, finance, R&D, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure strategic procurement capabilities to deliver competitive advantages and support sustainable business growth.
This role requires a strategic leader with strong manufacturing experience, global procurement expertise, and a proven track record of leading complex international purchasing activities within industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy aligned with Magnequench's business objectives.
- Build a resilient, scalable, and cost-competitive global supply chain network.
- Create an organization to identify strategic check points and execute plans to mitigate the risks to the business.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Lead global procurement strategy for critical raw materials, indirect spending, and strategic sourcing activities.
- Develop strong supplier relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Establish supplier performance management programs focused on quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and sustainability.
- Mitigate supply risks through diversification, contingency planning, and market intelligence.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with sales, plants, finance, and R&D teams.
- Influence and align stakeholders across different regions, cultures, and functions.
- Build a high-performing global supply chain organization and succession pipeline.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience within global manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 5-10 years leading international, multi-site supply procurement organizations.
- Experience in advanced materials, specialty chemicals, critical minerals, industrial manufacturing, automotive, metals, mining, electronics, or related industries highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing complex global sourcing and logistics networks.
