Job Description

Job Purpose:

To serve as the global subject matter expert and primary point of coordination for the cross-functional systems training within Tech-in-a-Box (TiaB), ensuring consistent global implementation, compliance, and adoption through strategic liaison with IT for system deployment, comprehensive training program management, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role drives commercial and operational excellence by managing system requirements, coordinating user acceptance testing, delivering Train-the-Trainer programs, and ensuring all users worldwide are equipped to utilize TiaB effectively in alignment with global standards and DP World's operational objectives.

Key accountabilities:

The Global Specialist - Training & Rollout FF serves as the Global TiaB Super User, coordinating and managing all TiaB training and development requirements globally. This role liaises with Global IT, collecting and defining system requirements for consideration and development, and is involved in global operational excellence initiatives.

Process Compliance

  • Support Compliance: Ensure compliance with all TiaB standard processes globally. Conduct audits of TiaB standards as required and collaborate with Regional Super Users to correct issues and ensure system usage aligns with global standards.

System Improvements

  • Issue Communication: Communicate system functionality issues and recommend enhancements to the Global VP Operations Excellence and IT leadership.
  • Implementation Support: Aid in the implementation of system improvements through release management, training, communication, and tracking compliance with newly introduced processes.
  • Global Initiatives: Support global operations initiatives as the Global Super User for cross-functional systems (CRM, NPM, Quotation Tool, Customer Platform, etc.).

Implementation

  • UAT Efficiency: Ensure the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process is conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Training Tasks: Collaborate with the Regional Super User organization to ensure all training-related tasks are completed and resources allocated.

TiaB Training

  • Program Management: Oversee the TiaB training program for the regions, conduct Train the Trainer sessions, and ensure all new and existing users are adequately trained.
  • Outcome Reporting: Report training outcomes to the Global Learning & Training Team.
  • Training Needs: Identify major training needs based on reports or feedback and ensure corrective actions are executed.
  • Skill Development: Ensure continuous development of training and presentation skills for Regional Super Users.
  • Documentation Creation: Lead the creation of standard documentation, e-learning modules, and learning objectives.
  • Operations Training Representation: Represent Operations training with Group Learning & Development, ensuring TiaB training activities align with global standards and are coordinated within regional training plans.

Customer Training & Enablement

  • Training Strategy: Develop comprehensive training strategy and approach for customer platform adoption and proficiency
  • Training Materials: Create and maintain training materials including user guides, video tutorials, quick reference cards, webinars, and e-learning modules
  • Onboarding Programs: Design effective onboarding programs for new customers to ensure rapid platform adoption and value realization
  • Train-the-Trainer: Develop and deliver train-the-trainer programs for regional teams, customer service, and account managers
  • Support Resources: Establish self-service help resources including FAQs, knowledge bases, and chatbot capabilities
  • Adoption Tracking: Monitor training effectiveness and platform adoption implement targeted interventions to improve utilization
  • Customer Communication: Lead communication campaigns for new features, enhancements, and platform updates

Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global, regional, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent processes and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to gather input and feedback for system and training enhancements.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system development and training in the logistics industry.
  • Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, and control).
  • Good knowledge of market-leading TMS systems, and supply chain visibility applications.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects
  • Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations and regulations.
  • Goal and team driven, good motivator and facilitator to ensure that set targets are achieved.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
