Job location: Client site

Master Works is seeking for a Data Governance & Privacy Expert Consultant to support the implementation of data governance and personal data protection practices by ensuring data quality, regulatory compliance, and the secure management of organizational and personal data across the organization.

The Data Governance & Privacy will work closely with business and technical teams to establish governance frameworks, ensure compliance with personal data protection regulations, manage data-related risks, and promote best practices for data governance and privacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data governance and personal data protection policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with personal data protection regulations and organizational governance requirements.
  • Conduct data classification activities and privacy impact assessments.
  • Monitor data quality, security controls, and governance practices across the organization.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks.
  • Promote awareness of data governance and privacy requirements through training and awareness initiatives.
  • Prepare governance, compliance, and privacy reports and related documentation.
  • Lead and manage governance and privacy initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead a team and delegate responsibilities to ensure effective execution of governance and privacy activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Privacy, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, privacy requirements, and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience implementing governance controls, compliance programs, and privacy management practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Experience working in regulated or government environments.
  • Familiarity with data quality management and information security practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise compliance and digital transformation initiatives.
