Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the corporate governance framework, ensuring alignment with Group standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate Board and committee activities, including preparation of materials, tracking actions, and supporting effective decision-making
- Develop, review, and maintain governance policies, procedures, and delegation of authority frameworks across the business
- Act as the central point of contact for regulators, managing submissions, licensing requirements, and ongoing supervisory engagement
- Oversee audit, compliance, and control activities, ensuring timely remediation of findings and adherence to internal policies
- Support risk management processes, including risk appetite monitoring, identification of breaches, and escalation of key issues
- Drive governance across areas such as legal, data protection, customer conduct, and strategic planning to ensure consistent oversight
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience within financial services, with a strong background in governance, risk, compliance, or audit
- Solid understanding of corporate governance frameworks, Board processes, and regulatory expectations within capital markets or banking
- Experience engaging with regulators and managing regulatory submissions, audits, and licensing processes
- Strong ability to develop policies, frameworks, and governance documentation in a structured and practical manner
- Proven track record in stakeholder management, including interaction with senior management and Board-level audiences
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk, interpret regulatory requirements, and provide clear recommendations
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgement, with the ability to operate effectively in complex environments
