Black & Grey HR is working with a well-established UAE-based conglomerate with a long-standing presence in the region. Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Emirati national to join their team as a Government Relations Manager. This role is pivotal in managing the organization's interactions with various government entities across the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of local regulations and protocols, coupled with proven leadership experience in managing a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Government Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the conglomerate and various UAE government departments, municipalities, and regulatory authorities
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and lead the government relations team, ensuring efficient handling of all government-related transactions and documentation (e.g., visas, licenses, permits, attestations).
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in local laws and government procedures, advising internal stakeholders to ensure the group's operations remain fully compliant.
- Process Optimization: Streamline internal processes related to government affairs to ensure timely and accurate submission of applications and renewals.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key government officials to facilitate smooth business operations across the group's diverse divisions (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, etc.).
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Group CHRO regarding government relations activities, challenges, and operational metrics.
- Strategic Support: Advise senior leadership on the governmental landscape to support the company's strategic growth and infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working directly with different government bodies across the UAE. Experience within a large conglomerate or holding company is highly advantageous.
- Must have prior experience handling, supervising, or leading a team.
- Exceptional ability to organize workflows, manage multiple deadlines, and handle high-volume documentation accurately.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal) is required.
- Deep understanding of UAE labor law, immigration rules, and local municipal procedures.
