Role Description The Government Relations Director is a part-time remote role responsible for building and managing relationships with relevant government bodies and regulatory authorities. This role involves monitoring legislative and regulatory developments that impact affiliate marketing and digital advertising, analyzing potential implications, and advising internal stakeholders on policy and compliance considerations. The director will develop and implement government relations strategies, prepare policy briefs and position papers, and coordinate lobbying efforts in alignment with organizational goals and ethical standards. Day-to-day tasks include engaging with public officials, participating in consultations and industry forums, maintaining documentation of legislative activities, and collaborating with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure the organization's interests are effectively represented.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in governmental affairs and government relations, with a track record of engaging public sector stakeholders.
Experience with lobbying and legislative relations, including advocacy campaigns and relationship-building with policymakers.
Solid understanding of legislation and regulatory processes, preferably related to digital marketing, advertising, or technology sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex policy issues clearly and persuasively.
Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
Prior experience in government agencies, public affairs, regulatory bodies, or industry associations is highly beneficial.
