Government Relations Specialist

About the Role

Our client, a leader in Construction & Building Maintenance Services, is seeking an experienced HR Officer – Government Relations to join their team in the UAE. This role will be responsible for managing government relations activities, labour and immigration processes, and employee documentation while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in visa processing, MOHRE transactions, and government portal management.

About the Requirements

• Manage visa quotas, work permits, labour approvals, and immigration-related transactions in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Oversee visa, medical, Emirates ID, and Tawteen processes for employees from onboarding through renewals.
• Administer MOHRE, GDRFA, and other government portals, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
• Coordinate licence renewals, company registrations, document attestation, embassy registrations, and legalisation requirements.
• Support labour audits, inspections, accommodation portal management, and resolution of government fines or compliance issues.

About You

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Government Relations, PRO, HR Operations, or Labour & Immigration functions within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour laws, MOHRE regulations, visa processing, and government compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
