Grade 1 - homeroom teacher

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher to join our school community.

The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment where young learners can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Homeroom Teacher, preferably teaching Grade 1 or lower primary

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons

• Experience supporting students with different learning needs and abilities

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents

• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Grade 1 curriculum

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress

• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student learning and development

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, school activities, and student support

• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and a love of learning
