Your impact

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

The principal function of this role is as a graduate engineer is to assist other engineers on port, maritime and coastal engineering projects in the APME region. The position demands a mature attitude and willingness to participate/learn. Someone who can be independent and with strong team participation skills is required.

Would be expected to work under the supervision and guidance of experienced maritime engineers.

The key priorities in this role will include but not be limited to

  • Strong Interest in Ports/Maritime/Civil/Coastal engineering design. Ambition to have a long-term career in such.
  • Understanding of design methods and calculations, design drawings, technical Report writing.
  • Strong outside interests and ability to operate in team events.

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experiences

The minimum qualifications for this position include

  • Bachelor's degree or similar qualification in Civil or Maritime Engineering.
  • Student member of Institution of Civil Engineers (or similar) would be an advantage.
  • Prior work experience in a similar field (part-time/summer jobs, etc.) may be considered an advantage.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge

  • Can work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
  • Ask questions and challenge the norm
  • Personal planning and organization
  • Confident in communication with high level of spoken and written English
