Job Description

Department: Telecom Engineering

Qualification: B.E. in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent

Experience: 3-4 Yrs Exp in SATCOM (preferred) or Telecom

Reports to: Project Manager/Regional Director APAC-Telecom Engineering

Key Skills

1 Should have sound understanding of SATCOM technology. Modulation schemes, LEO, MEO, GEO satellite communication.

2 Should be able to manage the SNP /ground stations operations and maintenance.

3 Certification like GVF or certification on SATCOM technology, trained on SATCOM will be preferred.

4 Should have knowledge of installation, testing, operation and maintenance of Satellite network portal or telecom networks, RAN, MW, VSAT etc.

5 Should have working experience on installation and commissioning of LEO antennae, Radomes and UT's

6 Should be able to analyse daily network reports like network Outage, KPI and find out root causes of outages and take corrective actions accordingly.

7 Strong Knowledge of MS - Excel, Word, power point.

8 Should be a strong team player

9 Knowledge and working experience on Telecom networks and Satellite communication will be preferred

10 Knowledge of using Spectrum analyser, Frequency counters/meters, DTA's, Noise figure meters, OTDR, laser source and power meter will be preferred.

11 Should have experience and fair understanding of working in telecom networks like RAN, transmission-MW, VSAT.

12 Should have good English communication skills.

13 Should have fair understating of Fiber Optics networks and maintenance activities related to OFC.

14 Candidate should be ready to manage operations and maintenance of SNP ground station during odd hours also in case of any failures or urgent situations.
