Group Chief Accountant

Group Chief Accountant | Healthcare

We are currently supporting our healthcare client in Riyadh with the appointment of a Chief Accountant to join a lean holding structure, working directly alongside the CFO.

This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating independently and taking ownership of core accounting activities across the business.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, control, and timely reporting across the group.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day accounting entries and general ledger activities
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and reviewing financial reports and periodic statements
• Supporting audit processes and maintaining documentation
• Reviewing financials of subsidiaries and ensuring alignment across the group
• Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years experience in accounting/finance
• Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia is essential
• Strong working knowledge of Zakat and VAT regulations
• Arabic speaking is required
• Experience within a medical / healthcare environment
• Experience in a holding structure or multi-entity environment
• Comfortable working in a lean team, reporting directly to senior leadership
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-driven approach

This role would suit someone confident operating in a lean structure, who enjoys working closely with leadership and contributing across the full accounting cycle.
