About The Role.

As the Group Head of Cloud Infrastructure, you will be entrusted with the leadership and strategic oversight of the organization's cloud infrastructure on a global scale. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cloud technologies, a global mindset, and the ability to drive cohesive and scalable solutions across diverse geographical locations.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Governance:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for cloud adoption across the organization.
• Establish and enforce governance policies and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
  
  

International Collaboration

• Collaborate with regional IT teams to understand and address specific cloud infrastructure needs and challenges.
• Foster a collaborative global environment for sharing best practices and knowledge.
  
  

Architecture and Standardization

• Lead the standardization of global cloud infrastructure architecture, considering regional variations where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to global standards and best practices.
  
  

Implementation and Rollout

• Oversee the implementation and rollout of cloud infrastructure solutions globally.
• Coordinate with regional teams to facilitate smooth deployment and integration.
  
  

Performance Optimization

• Implement strategies to optimize the performance, scalability, and efficiency of global cloud systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the global cloud infrastructure.
  
  

Security and Compliance

• Develop and enforce global security standards and compliance measures for cloud infrastructure.
• Stay abreast of international regulations and ensure compliance across all regions.
  
  

Budgeting and Cost Management

• Develop and manage a global budget for cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with regional teams to optimize costs while maintaining performance and security.
  
  

Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with global cloud service providers.
• Negotiate contracts, ensuring consistency and cost-effectiveness across regions.
  
  

Team Leadership and Talent Development

• Build and lead a globally distributed cloud infrastructure team.
• Promote talent development and knowledge sharing across borders.
  
  

Education

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in a senior leadership role overseeing global cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge of international networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
• Strong understanding of global compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
