We are looking for a highly experienced Group Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of our group-wide Ethics & Compliance Program.
This critical leadership role is responsible for providing assurance that our organization remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, maintains a consistent and effective enterprise policy management framework, and operates a robust ethics program aligned with international standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving best practices and ensuring the standardization and harmonization of ethics policies, procedures, and processes across the Group.
In addition to ethics and compliance responsibilities, the role will support the continued development and enhancement of the Group's Trade Compliance and Data Protection & Privacy programs, helping to strengthen governance and regulatory compliance across our global operations.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in regulatory compliance, policy management, ethics programs, and anti-bribery & anti-corruption, along with the ability to work collaboratively with ethics and compliance professionals across multiple group entities to support business objectives while maintaining the highest compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ethics & Compliance responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and further enhancement of the group Ethics & Compliance program initiatives by:
- Develop and implement the ADA Group regulatory compliance program. Conduct regulatory risk assessments and design functional dashboards to proactively monitor the ADA Group state of compliance.
- Develop and implement the ADA Group policy management framework. Define the business-critical policies and support/challenge policy owners in the effective implementation of those policies.
- Review and recommend enhancements related to the group compliance policies and procedures (e.g., Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, etc.) - ensuring alignment with UAE laws, international standards, and evolving business needs.
- Manage the ADA Group Whistleblower reporting and case management application.
- Develop and implement the ADA Group investigation protocol. Conduct or supervise fair, evidence-based reviews of alleged violations of the ADA Group Code of Conduct.
- Deliver comprehensive training programs on ethics, anti-bribery, and conflict of interest for staff at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Review group's disclosure (e.g. gifts, hospitality, conflicts of interest), ensuring transparency, confidentiality, and audit-readiness.
- Review and recommend enhancements to the group's third-party due diligence processes.
- Represent group compliance in internal governance forums (e.g. triage panel, ethics & compliance committee and audit, risk & compliance committee) to support decision-making and transparency.
- Support organizational readiness for internal audits, board reviews, and regulatory inspections.
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager will support the Ada Group Senior Trade Compliance Manager and Data Protection Officer with:
- Ensuring company-wide compliance with import/export laws, including U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct group entity compliance assessments in relation to trade compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on trade compliance requirements and best practices.
- Ensure that export and import records are maintained in the group entities in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Support investigations related to potential violations or breaches of trade regulations. In coordination with senior management, disclose any policy, procedure, or regulatory breach to the respective regulators.
- Ensure company-wide compliance with relevant data protection and data privacy laws and regulations.
- Support investigations related to potential violations or breaches of data privacy and protection policies.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain proactive and progressive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Consult with the internal ADA Legal team as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues.
- Collaborate with the risk management department and other assurance providers on reviews and remediation of internal controls.
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure the implementation of consistent disciplinary action in cases of compliance violations.
- Collaborate with finance on fraud and awareness initiatives to improve an ethical culture.
- Collaborate with other departments and assurance providers where there are areas of interface on common goals and objectives to achieve a win-win situation.
Reporting
- Develop, monitor, and report key Ethics & Compliance metrics to senior leadership and the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee as required.
- Manage the development of functional reporting systems for management or performance reporting.
- Ensure that regular and periodic reports are prepared and submitted as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions.
- Prepare trend analyses, analyzing ethics and compliance data and preparing reports for management.
- Create and maintain dashboards to support executive and board-level presentations and briefings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in Ethics & Compliance within complex, multi-jurisdictional and matrixed organizations, preferably within the aviation sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in forensic investigations and compliance reviews.
- Experience in an advisory, consulting, or Center of Excellence environment is highly desirable.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships across decentralized organizations.
- Professional certification in forensic investigations is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of international Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption regulations and ethics frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
- Strong risk assessment and regulatory compliance analysis skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical compliance solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
- Familiarity with whistleblowing, case management, Know-Your-Customer (KYC), and compliance reporting tools.
