Job Description

We're seeking a driven sales professional to join our moving clients international logistics division in Dubai, specialising in building a groupage (LCL consolidation) service offering. You'll be instrumental in shaping their global trade-lane strategy and forging partnerships across the moving, forwarding and relocation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a full groupage service offering from the ground up, including route planning and service design.
  • Creating weekly, biweekly or monthly groupage schedules for key trade lanes (UK, EU, AUS, US etc).
  • Collaborating with operations to optimise loading, routing and consolidation processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Identifying and acquiring groupage cargo from local movers, freight forwarders, relocation firms and SMEs.
  • Building and maintaining a network of consistent B2B customers for groupage services.
  • Developing rate cards, pricing models and service-level agreements for groupage partnerships.
  • Converting partners currently using competitor groupage services to our solution.
  • Meeting monthly revenue targets in volume and profitability for groupage services.
  • Identifying high-demand corridors and launching new routes to capture market share.
  • Maximising container utilisation and revenue per CBM for each groupage service.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships: providing quotations, ensuring documentation accuracy, overseeing shipment tracking and updates, and post-delivery communication.
  • Monitoring competitor schedules, pricing and market movements; identifying trade-lane gaps and delivering market insight to leadership.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 35 years experience in groupage/LCL sales, freight forwarding or relocation (with demonstrable success).
  • An existing network of groupage clients is a strong advantage.
  • Proven B2B logistics sales capability within the moving or relocation sector.
  • Strong understanding of LCL, freight consolidation, international shipping and container optimisation.
  • Excellent numerical ability (CBMs, utilisation, revenue per CBM) and pricing acumen.
  • Strong negotiation and partnership-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-relationship management skills.
  • Good knowledge of documentation, customs regulations, and deadline management.
  • Highly commercial, entrepreneurial, service-oriented, confident, persuasive and hands-on.
