Job Description

In 2020, Schneider Electric launched EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) which is a more digitally advanced industrial control technology versus conventional PLC technology. While conventional PLC technology still has a place in industrial control systems, there is a fast-growing convergence of IT/OT where Industrial Control Technology like EAE that is more IT centric is better suited and being widely adopted in the market. Since 2020, we have seen fast adoption of EAE globally and across all industrial segments.

The individual in this role will lead a global team, driving all commercial strategies related to EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) within targeted strategic accounts. This role entails developing, maintaining, and implementing the commercial strategy for Automation Expert at strategic accounts, working in partnership with Segment teams, Marketing, and Lines of Business (LOBs).

The ideal candidate for this role;

Must have strong commercial leadership, be self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working autonomously while seamlessly collaborating within a matrix organization :

  • Should embody the qualities of an agile and visionary commercial leader, leveraging innovative and strategic thinking to drive the accelerated growth of EAE.
  • A proven ability to develop and execute commercial strategies, coupled with a track record of leading impactful business development initiatives, is essential.
  • The successful candidate will be recognized as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and expertise to regional teams as they implement their EAE strategies.
  • Experience in launching new products, offers, and solutions is highly advantageous.
  • The role also demands strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the diplomatic ability to influence and persuade stakeholders and countries, even without direct reporting relationships.

The candidate must bring a keen sense of commercial intensity, strategic foresight, and operational agility to lead and scale the global growth of EAE effectively.

Key responsibilities:

  • Commercial Leadership: Lead all commercial activities and strategy deployment for Automation Expert (EAE) to grow EAE inside of strategic accounts.
  • Growth Programs: design and implement growth programs, initiatives, and winning strategies at strategic accounts.
  • Technical Alignment: Stay up to date with EAE's technical roadmap and ensure complete synchronization between the commercial strategy and technical readiness.
  • Product Launches: Lead and coordinate the launch of new EAE versions, features, and functionalities across all strategic accounts.
  • Competitive Positioning: Monitor competitor offerings and develop strategies to displace competitors at strategic accounts using EAE.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and deploy sales tactics, presentations, and other resources within strategic accounts to achieve growth objectives.
  • Deal Closing: Provide direct support for deal closures and customer engagements as needed.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to position EAE as a market leader, ensuring alignment with the overarching commercial strategy.
  • Representation: Represent EAE at company events, trade shows, and industry fairs.
  • Segment Focus: Collaborate with segment teams to identify and the strategic accounts using EAE.
  • Stakeholder Management : Work closely with both technical and commercial teams within countries to ensure seamless integration and execution of Automation Expert (EAE) initiatives.

This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a strong commercial mindset, strategic vision, and the ability to execute with precision across a global landscape.

Experience & Skills :

  • A degree in electrical engineering or business is essential; an MBA is considered a strong asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial leadership role in Industrial Automation is required.
  • Proven experience in successfully launching new products and offerings into the market.
  • In-depth understanding of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and the convergence between IT and OT.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and drive them through to successful deployment.
  • Hands-on experience working with system integrator partners and distributor channels.
  • A strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, able to guide and inspire teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage and influence executive-level audiences.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
