Investment Professional - Growth Equity (role based in Doha, Qatar)
A tier 1 investment manager is seeking an investment professional focused on later stage growth investments to join its growing regional team. The individual will oversee the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and due diligence to valuation, execution, and portfolio management.
The firm manages significant AUM and has invested in and helped build some of the leading success stories in the region.
This role will suit someone in the early stage of their career (2-4 YOE), with experience in investment banking, PE or growth investing absolutely essential.
Role overview
- Manage and continually evolve all stages of the growth investment evaluation and execution process, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, investment recommendations, and transaction documentation.
- Conduct in-depth financial modelling and valuation analyses, including sensitivity, scenario, and comparable company analysis for later-stage companies.
- Proactively source and evaluate investment opportunities through regional networks, industry events, and market research.
- Prepare detailed investment materials such as investment memorandums, market assessments, and competitive benchmarking.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence processes, engaging with advisors and portfolio management teams.
- Monitor portfolio company performance, including financial tracking, KPI analysis, and value creation initiatives.
- Support portfolio companies with strategic growth, capital raising, and expansion opportunities.
- Represent the firm in the regional investment and technology ecosystem
Requirements
- 2-4 years experience in PE, investment banking or growth investing
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Understanding of public markets and capital market dynamics
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven with strong time management skills.
- Bachelors degree from a recognized educational institution with excellent academic credentials
- Professional qualification (CFA, CPA, CIMA) are a desirable but not essential
- Fluency in English essential, and Arabic is desirable
