GENERAL ROLE:
- As Hammam Therapist at Miraval The Red Sea, your main role is providing traditional Hammam treatments, such as exfoliating scrubs, steam therapy, soothing massages, and deep cleansing rituals in the resort's specialized Hammam spa.
- This role integrates mindfulness, relaxation, and emotional well-being into each treatment, offering guests a rejuvenating experience that promotes both physical and mental health.
- The therapist will guide guests through the therapeutic rituals of Hammam, creating an environment of emotional connection, relaxation, and self-care.
- This role ensures that all Hammam treatments align with Miraval's philosophy of holistic wellness, mindful living, and personal transformation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hammam Treatment Facilitation & Guest Engagement:
- Perform a variety of traditional Hammam treatments, including body scrubs, steam therapy, oil treatments, and massage rituals, with a focus on relaxation, rejuvenation, and emotional well-being.
- Guide guests through the Hammam experience, providing mindful and emotionally connected care, and adjusting treatments based on their individual needs and preferences.
- Foster a sense of calm, mindfulness, and emotional release through each step of the Hammam process, ensuring a transformative and holistic experience.
- Provide personalized recommendations based on guest wellness goals, ensuring that each treatment is aligned with their physical and emotional needs.
- Engage with guests empathetically, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can let go of stress, relax, and connect with their inner well-being.
Program Development & Integration:
- Collaborate with the Spa and Wellness Leadership to design and implement Hammam-inspired rituals and wellness treatments that integrate mindfulness, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
- Stay updated with the latest Hammam trends and wellness rituals, incorporating innovative treatments that offer new ways to enhance the guest experience.
- Develop customized Hammam experiences based on guests individual wellness needs, including stress relief, detoxification, and emotional clarity.
- Work with the well-being team to integrate Hammam treatments into broader resort wellness offerings, ensuring a seamless and holistic guest experience.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and mindfully designed Hammam space, ensuring that the environment promotes relaxation, comfort, and emotional well-being.
- Ensure all Hammam equipment and treatment materials are properly maintained, sanitized, and in excellent working condition.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring all treatments are performed with the utmost care and in compliance with industry standards.
- Follow all risk management protocols and ensure that guests safety and comfort are prioritized during each treatment.
Guest Relations & Emotional Support:
- Build strong, empathetic connections with guests, listening attentively to their needs and providing personalized care during their Hammam experience.
- Offer thoughtful advice on aftercare to enhance the benefits of the Hammam treatment and extend guests sense of well-being beyond the spa.
- Ensure guests feel emotionally supported, relaxed, and rejuvenated, leaving the Hammam with a sense of physical, mental, and emotional balance.
- Maintain guest confidentiality and ensure privacy and comfort during the Hammam experience.
Professional Development & Innovation:
- Participate in Miraval's professional development programs, focusing on enhancing Hammam therapies, mindfulness techniques, and holistic wellness practices.
- Engage in continuous learning about new wellness trends, Hammam treatments, and mind-body integration to offer the latest in spa therapies and techniques.
- Contribute ideas for new Hammam treatments and rituals, ensuring that the offerings remain fresh, innovative, and aligned with the wellness goals of the resort.
Team Collaboration & Empathy:
- Collaborate with the well-being team, including spa therapists, fitness professionals, and wellness practitioners, to integrate Hammam treatments into broader wellness programs.
- Share best practices with colleagues and provide mentorship to junior therapists, ensuring a consistent and holistic approach to guest care.
- Support a culture of empathy, mindfulness, and well-being among the spa team, creating a cohesive environment where guests receive the highest level of service and attention.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification in Hammam therapies, massage therapy, or other relevant wellness treatments (e.g., CIDESCO, CMT, IATA etc.).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in performing Hammam treatments or similar spa therapies in a luxury wellness resort or spa environment.
- Strong understanding of holistic wellness, mindfulness practices, and emotional wellness techniques.
- Experience providing personalized spa services that integrate emotional and physical well-being.
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
- Passion for wellness and emotional well-being, with a dedication to supporting guests through mindful spa experiences.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build empathetic connections and foster relaxation and trust with each guest.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a mindfully designed Hammam space and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ability to adapt treatments to meet the emotional and physical needs of guests, ensuring a deeply personalized experience.
- Empathetic and compassionate in approach, creating an environment where guests feel supported and cared for.
- Proficiency with digital tools for scheduling, guest communication, and managing treatment records.
- Ability to model mindfulness and integrate it into spa treatments, enhancing the emotional and physical wellness of each guest.
