Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Site Handover Engineer to join our project delivery team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in bridging the gap between site construction and final customer delivery. You will work closely with contractors, quality control teams, and customer service to inspect units, track defect rectifications, and support smooth, high-quality handovers to property buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers in conducting pre-handover unit inspections, identifying snags, and recording defects in civil, architectural finishings, and basic MEP installations.
- Work with site contractors, quality control (QC) teams, and consultants to log defect lists using digital snagging applications.
- Conduct regular site follow-ups with contractors to monitor the progress and quality of snag rectifications.
- Verify basic site construction completion and ensure units are clean, safe, and ready for customer walkthroughs.
- Support the Site Task Force team during official customer handover appointments and unit walkthroughs.
- Assist clients with technical unit orientations, explaining basic facility operations, home features, and community guidelines.
- Note customer inquiries and minor on-site concerns during walkthroughs, escalating complex issues to the Handover Lead.
- Handle key handovers, document signing, and ensure unit acceptance forms are completed accurately.
- Organize and track handover documentation, including testing & commissioning (T&C) reports, warranty certificates, user manuals, and utility connection forms.
- Maintain accurate handover records, updating daily tracking logs regarding defect closures, unit statuses, and appointment schedules.
- Enforce adherence to company handover Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines during all site visits.
- Provide entry-level data support for project close-out reports to help capture operational lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related discipline (Graduates of 2024–2026 welcome).
- Experience: 0–1 year of relevant experience or internship exposure in site engineering, construction oversight, quality control, or real estate project delivery.
- Basic knowledge of building finishes, civil work, and fundamental MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and scope-of-work documents.
- Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
