About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head Bakery & Pizza Chef to lead our bakery and pizza operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all bread, pastry, dessert, and pizza production, ensuring top-quality taste, presentation, and consistency. This role requires creativity, leadership, and a strong knowledge of Italian culinary techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the bakery, pastry, and pizza team.
  • Plan, develop, and execute daily bakery, pastry, and pizza production schedules.
  • Ensure all products meet Isola's high standards for quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Create new recipes for pastries, breads, desserts, and pizzas, including seasonal specials.
  • Maintain inventory, order ingredients, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Uphold hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards in line with Dubai regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and inspire the bakery and pizza team, fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team for seamless delivery of bakery and pizza items to guests.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 57 years of bakery/pastry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Italian breads, pastries, desserts, and pizzas (including wood-fired pizza).
  • Proven creativity in recipe development while maintaining consistency.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.
