Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Manage, implement and develop the Strength & Conditioning services across Adult and Junior membership programs. Accountable for building and developing an industry leading Junior Athletic Program and overseeing additional fitness products X-Strong and Bootcamps. Lead a team of 4 to develop a high-performance loving community that has a clear understanding of its value in their journey. The individual should exemplify the skills of finding, retaining, and developing best in class performers, managing department goals and budgets, building, and delivering the best programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the S&C team across all S&C services including but not limited to S&C programming, X-Strong, Bootcamp, Mini Marines and inter-team collaboration.
  • Implement individual and group strength and conditioning programs using appropriate periodised plans, modalities, loading and injury minimisation. Maintain excellent working relationships with all departments for collaboration purposes to enhance program content.
  • Provide advice and support to athletes and parents as appropriate in areas of expertise.
  • Deliver and lead all athletic programming to the highest standard possible, to the benefit of the members.
  • Deliver extra strength and conditioning clinics as deemed necessary by members, or team to enhance member development and performance.
  • Use objective markers to identify areas that need physical development or facilitate improved
  • performance.
  • Design and delivery of activation/preparation sessions for individuals/groups/teams.
  • Assist in the delivery of physical preparation session.
  • Design and delivery of recovery strategies as appropriate with programming.
  • Provide direction and support where needed for all members to ensure program delivery is of a high standard.
  • Support members in their understanding of lifestyle choices and in educating them on the role of S&C in supporting their performances.
  • Provide direct reports with timely and clear support and performance management, including by explaining and enforcing company policies, protocols, and expectations.
  • Provide timely and clear feedback regarding performance and short and long-term development opportunities and strength.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of working with young athletes / children in a similar role
  • Experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of strength and conditioning programs for athletes
  • 2 or more years managing and leading teams
  • Proven successful collaboration with team members
  • Background in building high performing teams, with the ability to mentor and cultivate the career path of team members
