- Plant Commercial & Financial Management
- Lead all commercial and financial activities of the manufacturing plant.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting of plant transactions.
- Monitor plant-level revenue, expenses, provisions, accruals and financial reporting.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls and SOPs.
- Provide commercial insights to the Plant Head and management for decision-making.
- Costing & Cost Control
- Drive product costing, standard costing and actual costing.
- Analyse material, labour, power, overhead and conversion costs.
- Identify cost variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Monitor manufacturing cost per unit and improve cost efficiency.
- Support cost-reduction and productivity-improvement initiatives.
- Analyse yield, wastage, scrap and production variances.
- Inventory & Working Capital
- Monitor raw material, packaging material, WIP and finished-goods inventory.
- Ensure proper inventory accounting and reconciliation.
- Drive inventory ageing analysis and reduction of slow/non-moving inventory.
- Coordinate with SCM, procurement, production and warehouse teams for inventory optimisation.
- Monitor working capital, payable/receivable cycles and cash-flow requirements.
- Procurement & Commercial Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement for purchase orders, contracts, vendor terms and commercial negotiations.
- Review purchase prices, payment terms and other commercial conditions.
- Ensure proper PO, GRN, invoice and payment processes.
- Monitor vendor reconciliation and resolve commercial disputes.
- Ensure compliance with approved procurement policies.
- Sales & Dispatch Commercial Operations
- Oversee commercial processes related to sales, dispatch and invoicing.
- Ensure accurate billing and timely submission of invoices.
- Monitor customer outstanding and coordinate with the credit-control team.
- Ensure proper documentation for dispatches and inter-unit transfers.
- Reconcile sales, dispatch and financial records.
- Statutory Compliance.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and government authorities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and documentation.
- Support tax audits, assessments and statutory audits.
- MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly plant MIS.

- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the plant.
- Prepare OPEX, CAPEX and production-cost budgets.
- Track actual performance against budget.
- Analyse significant variances and recommend corrective measures.
- Support business forecasting and financial planning.
- Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate internal, statutory and tax audits.
- Ensure closure of audit observations within agreed timelines.
- Strengthen internal financial controls at the plant.
- Identify financial and commercial risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Prevent revenue leakage, excess costs and process deviations.
- ERP / SAP & Process Improvement
- Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing in SAP/ERP systems.
- Monitor master data, accounting entries, GRN, inventory and costing processes.
- Improve commercial processes through automation and digitization.
- Ensure data integrity and proper system controls.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the plant commercial/accounts team.
- Define KRAs and KPIs for team members.
- Build a strong control-oriented and business-focused commercial function.
- Train team members on commercial processes, ERP and compliance.
- Ensure effective coordination between Finance, Procurement, SCM, Production, Sales and Corporate Finance.

Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
- CA / CMA preferred
- MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com from a reputed institution
- Candidates with strong manufacturing commercial experience may also be considered.
Required Experience
- 12–18 years of experience in Commercial / Plant Finance / Costing / Accounts.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing plant operations.
- Experience in costing, inventory, procurement commercial, budgeting and MIS.
- Strong understanding of GST and statutory compliance.
- Experience in SAP/SAP HANA/ERP is preferred.
- FMCG / Food / Consumer Products / Auto / Engineering / Process Manufacturing experience preferred.
