Job Description
Our client is a prominent group and one of the largest retail and hospitality conglomerates in the Middle East, Africa, and India. They are looking to hire a Head of Corporate Communications for their Dubai based office.
The job holder will be responsible for strategically and proactively engaging key internal and external stakeholders through integrated communications, public relations, and social media initiatives to build and enhance Group reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communication Internal & External:
Development and execution of corporate communications strategies and initiatives in alignment with key business priorities and companys vision to ensure share of voice in the market.
Leadership & C-suite counsel and profiling to position the Group strategically as a subject matter expert.
Manage & lead targeted communication initiatives across all levels of internal and external audiences, ensuring relevant message delivery and positive impact.
Drive employer branding initiatives to better position the Group as a preferred choice of employer.
Build and enhance corporate identity and branding through design, frameworks, and guidelines.
Support cross-functional communications and messaging including CSR & Sustainability, Supply Chain, Digital and Finance.
Provide strategic communication counsel and advisor to the Executive Committee (ExCom) and top management.
Public Relations, Media, & External Affairs:
Oversee public relations including controlled news announcements, press releases, crisis communication to ensure the Groups leading share of voice in the market.
Develop and track effectiveness of communications, PR, and social media programs.
Build, advise and implement crisis communications framework to ensure seamless business continuity and Group reputation.
Lead Media Training of select executives as spokespersons of the Group.
Remain aware of industry trends, products and best practices and apply them to group strategies as appropriate.
Enhance industry networking to maintain close relations with government bodies, partners, and trade associations to ensure the Group is appropriately represented and benefits from strategic partnerships.
Maintain national protocol and strategic positioning of the Group.
Event Planning & Management:
Ideate, plan, and organize large-scale events for the organization and leadership teams, ensuring high engagement.
Design detailed event plans including the scope, themes, venues, and budgets.
Ensure the events are branded and marketed relevantly to target audience.
Key Experience
15+ years of experience in Corporate Communications
Exposure to GCC market from Retail, Consumer, and Consulting domains.
Result-driven, operates well under pressure, and sets/manages right expectations with relevant stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
Ability to give strategic counsel to senior leaders, considering the full picture of the business, the marketplace, and the competition.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities and can translate big ideas into successful campaigns.
Team player & empathetic leader.
Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills.
Experience within the Middle East.
Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
