To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Group Director - Data Management, Governance & Privacy Office:

Job purpose:

Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization by serving as the main point of contact for staff, regulators, and public authorities on data protection issues.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Strategic Leadership & NDMO Governance

• Establish and drive the Group's Data Management, Governance, and Privacy strategy in full alignment with NDMO (National Data Management Office) controls and specifications across all business units.
• Oversee and govern the implementation of the National Data Management and Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) frameworks, ensuring complete regulatory compliance at the corporate and subsidiary levels.

Policy Framework & Executive Oversight

• Approve and champion the enterprise-wide data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring ongoing alignment with evolving local and international data mandates.
• Direct the continuous assessment and auditing of data processing activities across the Group, presenting risk exposure and compliance dashboards directly to senior leadership and the Board.

Data Culture & Capability Building

• Define the strategic roadmap for data compliance training and foster a data privacy culture across the entire Group's workforce.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Data Governance specialists, Privacy officers, and technical experts within the Office.

Regulatory Relationship Management

• Serve as the ultimate executive point of contact and representative for the Group before Data Protection Authorities (such as SDAIA, SAMA, and NDMO).
• Manage and mitigate high-level data risks, data breaches, or regulatory challenges, ensuring the organization's reputation and compliance standing are protected.

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:

• 13+ years of overall experience, including more than 5 years specializing in data protection compliance or a related field.
• Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of NDMO.
• Experience in a legal, audit, or risk management role.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
• Must have Fintech or banking background.
