Role Overview:
Our client, a leading business conglomerate is seeking an accomplished professional to lead its Venture Building, Innovation, Business Development, and Go‑to‑Market (GTM) function. This role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, incubating, commercializing, and scaling new ventures across Energy Transition, Industrial O&M Digitization, and Decarbonization.
The role combines strategic innovation leadership with hands‑on venture development, commercial strategy, and GTM execution, transforming emerging technologies into scalable businesses, products, or joint ventures.
The position leads cross‑functional venture teams, drives business development across innovation domains, shapes GTM strategies, and works closely with the CEO and Board on venture governance and capital allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Commercial Growth
- Lead business development across innovation domains.
- Identify strategic customers, partners, and market entry pathways.
- Shape commercial models, partnership structures, and revenue strategies.
- Build early customer traction for new ventures.
2. Venture Ideation & Opportunity Identification
- Identify high‑potential ventures, startups, and technologies across energy transition, industrial digitization, and decarbonization.
- Build and maintain a strong venture pipeline through market scans, ecosystem engagement, accelerators, and partnerships.
3. Venture Building, Incubation & GTM Strategy
- Drive ventures from concept to pilot to scale.
- Define venture theses, MVPs, GTM strategies, and validation milestones.
- Establish governance, operating models, and funding stages.
- Translate technology concepts into commercially viable offerings.
4. Cost Benchmarking & Value Creation
- Benchmark industry cost structures and quantify value creation.
- Demonstrate cost savings, efficiency gains, and emissions reductions.
- Position ventures with clear value propositions versus traditional methods.
5. Sales Enablement & Market Deployment
- Provide strategic direction to sales leaders across innovation verticals.
- Support pilots, PoCs, and early commercial deployments.
- Develop pricing models, value‑based selling frameworks, and scale‑up strategies.
- Engage directly with strategic customers for venture rollout.
Key Requirements:
- 15+ yearsof experience in innovation, venture building, business development, strategy, or new business creation in energy, oil & gas, power, or industrial sectors.
- Bachelor's in Engineering;MBA preferred
- Proven experience launching and scaling technology-driven business lines.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary, entrepreneurial teams.
- Exposure to boards, investors, or investment committees is highly desirable.
