What This Role Is About

Our client is looking for a Head of Category to take ownership of category growth, with a strong focus on understanding the customer, consumer, product, and wider market.

The role will lead category development and work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, shape the product portfolio, and drive innovation. You will need to understand how products evolve within the category and how consumer needs can translate into commercially relevant opportunities.

This is a senior role for a commercially minded category leader who combines deep FMCG experience with a strong understanding of innovation and product development.

• 10+ years of experience within FMCG, with significant category experience
• Deep knowledge of innovation, product development, and category management is a must
• Strong customer and consumer orientation, with the ability to translate insights into category opportunities
• Strong understanding of products, portfolios, and category dynamics
• Proven experience shaping category strategy and identifying opportunities for growth
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect consumer needs with business priorities
• Experience working closely with marketing, R&D, innovation, and commercial teams
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders
