Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited is commissioning Universal Hydromet, a 200 TPM precious metals refinery in Coimbatore — a full hydrometallurgical circuit from leach through Merrill-Crowe precipitation to on-site smelting, powered by captive solar.
We are hiring the commercial leader who will build the refinery's feed book from zero and own it end to end.
What you will do
- Originate gold-bearing concentrates and high-grade feed from producers, aggregators, brokers, and trading desks across Latin America, Africa, and beyond
- Build and manage the full counterparty pipeline: identification, qualification, negotiation, contracting, and relationship management
- Negotiate commercial terms: payabilities, treatment and refining charges, assay exchange, and settlement protocols
- Run counterparty due diligence and KYC to OECD responsible-sourcing standards
- Work directly with plant leadership on feed acceptance criteria, parcel scheduling, and metallurgical settlement
- Represent the refinery at industry events and with international trading counterparties
Who you are
- 8+ years in metals trading, refinery commercial operations, bullion/doré trading, or mining commercial roles
- You understand how concentrate transactions are priced and settled — payabilities, TC/RCs, quotational periods, assay reconciliation — or come from an adjacent precious metals commercial background and can master it rapidly
- Experience negotiating with international counterparties; existing relationships in gold supply chains are a strong advantage
- Working knowledge of responsible sourcing frameworks (OECD Due Diligence Guidance, LBMA) preferred
- Comfortable building a function from zero with full ownership and direct access to leadership
What we offer
- A mandate to build the feed book of a new refinery — your counterparties, your terms, your pipeline
- Direct working relationship with plant and group leadership
- Compensation structured to reward the book you build
- Base in Coimbatore with international travel
- To apply, use the Apply button or write to [Confidential Information] with your CV and a short note on the commercial books or counterparty relationships you have built.
