About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Compliance to oversee and ensure our organization's adherence to regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance. This role is ideal for an individual with strong expertise in compliance who is ready to take ownership of compliance strategy and operations, working directly with senior leadership and regulatory authorities. The Head of Compliance will be a trusted advisor, ensuring the organization's operations remain fully aligned with Kuwait CMA regulations and other relevant laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization's compliance efforts, ensuring full adherence to Kuwait CMA regulations and other applicable financial regulations and laws.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, ensuring timely reporting and addressing any inquiries or audits.
- Advise senior management and stakeholders on compliance matters, regulatory changes, and best practices to mitigate compliance risks.
- Regularly review and update compliance manuals to reflect new regulatory guidelines, industry standards, and internal operational changes.
- Monitor and stay abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape, assessing potential impacts on the organization and updating internal policies accordingly.
- Conduct compliance training sessions and ensure that employees are aware of their obligations and the organization's compliance culture.
- Identify, assess, and report on compliance risks, ensuring appropriate action is taken to address any identified issues.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be a registered Compliance Officer with the Kuwait CMA or hold the CMA qualification required for registration.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in compliance, with direct interaction or reporting experience to the CMA.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage compliance frameworks, manuals, and internal policies independently.
- Extensive experience dealing with regulatory authorities and understanding complex compliance environments.
- Strong ability to provide clear and strategic compliance advice to senior management and other stakeholders.

- Deep understanding of Kuwait financial regulations and the CMA's regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex compliance scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate compliance issues clearly and persuasively.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities independently while meeting deadlines.
