Role Purpose
The Head of Content & Editorial will oversee the full content lifecycle—planning, creation, editing, approval, and publishing—ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment across all communications. The role will work closely with Arabic and English teams to unify messaging and ensure consistency across all outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the content and editorial function, ensuring high-quality output across all platforms
- Oversee content planning, writing, editing, and publishing across news, digital, and communication channels
- Collaborate closely with Arabic and English teams to ensure alignment and unified messaging
- Engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders to consolidate inputs into clear, consistent communications
- Establish and enforce editorial standards, tone of voice, and quality control processes
- Review and approve all content prior to publication to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Ensure all content aligns with organizational priorities and strategic communication objectives
- Continuously improve editorial workflows, governance, and content efficiency
Candidate Requirements
- 12–15+ years of experience in content management, editorial leadership, or strategic communications
- Fluent in English (written, reading, and verbal communication is mandatory)
- Working knowledge of Arabic (ability to read and understand Arabic content is required)
- Proven experience leading editorial teams and managing high-volume content production
- Strong ability to unify messaging across multilingual and multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience working with government entities, large organizations, or media institutions is highly preferred
- Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and ability to operate in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, English, Arabic, or related field
- Experience in government or institutional communication environments is an advantage
